Lots of stuff going on this month--I had a week's vacation and that was a lot of fun. One of my favorite things about working in a school is the time off I get to spend with my kids. We had a great time and the weather was lovely. Cat played outside with Papa lots and lots and a good time was had by all. Cat did get her first tick this month, which was interesting. I noticed the tick while washing her hair and had my dad come pull it with his tick-puller thingie.
Eric is starting to say lots of words: ba-ba, pa-pa, da-da, uppa (to be picked up), cah-cah (for Cat--only occasionally), heh (Hi!), bye-bye (with accompanying wave) and today: ma-ma. I was so excited! He's a very speedy crawler and is cruising around furniture like a pro.
Cat can say all her letters and numbers to 20 and is starting to know what sounds the letters make. She loves to spell out words that she sees everywhere--signs, books and ketchup bottles! She can type her name on the computer and is working on writing it as well (a little bit--she really is her mother's daughter and would be perfectly happy to just type everything).
We've been playing outside a lot lately and both Cat & Eric are enjoying the daddy slide and swings. I think that we're headed out shortly. I can't wait to get the pool set up and take them both swimming!
